This is proud and at the same time joyous moment for all of us to introduce the website of ID & BG Hospital, Kolkata. This institute has been playing a pivotal role as the apex referral centre the sentinel surveillance centre for Infectious Diseases in the state of West Bengal as well as Eastern India. Further, it also caters to common communicable illnesses and Non-communicable diseases of local people. Since its inception in 11.02.1957, service provision, teaching, training and research activities were the prime concerns of this organisation. On 25.05.1990, Govt. of West Bengal declared it as a Medical Teaching Institution. The present administrative team is trying its best to introduce newer facilities in addition to up-gradation of the existing ones, with the keen help of the staff of each tier.

I feel this website will definitely be of use not only to the doctors, nurses and other categories of employees of this hospital but also to the persons who may need to utilise the service of a particular section.
